It’s called working in your back yard and for Travis Wolsey it’s the chance to work with the new development in Tsawwassen at the “Springs”.
He is a graduate of SDSS as well as a former UBC Thunderbirds football player and has been working private practice for over 17 years.
He has degrees in Human Kinetics (97) as well as Physical Therapy (98) from UBC. as well as receiving his Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy.
He is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists (01) and has enjoyed being a clinical instructor with CPA’s orthopaedic division as well as other speaking engagements.
These include the PABC, Sport Physio BC, Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Conference and BC Podiatry Association.
In addition he has his Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy and was part of the host medical team for the Ice Hockey venue at the 2010 Olympics and 2006 World Junior Hockey Championships in Vancouver.
Along with his team he has established and built locations at the Sungod Arena as well as the Ladner Leisure Centre.
His list of clients include (NHL) players Milan Lucic and Brendan Gallagher as well as Mariners’ pitcher James Paxton, who calls Ladner home in the off-season.
He has been working with the Vancouver Giants and initially it was co-owner Ron Toigo who approached him about the possibility of opening a third clinic at his Tsawwassen Springs golf resort community.
This location is exceptional for all his clients for better treatment, that also include (across the roadway) a pro shop, gym, Pat Quinn’s Restaurant and Bar and a studio that is the new home of the Tsawwassen Wellness Centre – Pilates and Health.
Chris Hood the head pro states “Wolsey’s services and expertise reflects the needs of today’s golfer – at the competitive and recreational levels.”
Chris mentioned “For a guy who had never seen my swing or even me pick up a golf club before nailed the problems of my swing.”
Congrats to Travis on this new venture as it can only add to what Delta has to offer.
