Terminal City Roller Derby League

The Riot Girls completed a undefeated season on Sunday in the Terminal City Roller Derby League with a resounding victory 235-106 taking top spot in the standings going 3-0 this season.
They have managed to win their games with comfortable leads this season while playing solid defence allowing the fewest points in the league they are the defending Shield Champions in the local roller derby circuit.
Taking on Public Frenemy in the opener of a double header on Sunday at the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster the defending champions started out strong and continued to pound their opponents at every turn on this day opening up a 39-0 lead at one point in the opening half.
As they continued their domination in the match leading 60-6 and at the half led Public Frenemy 126-47 in a team combined effort one of their best games this year on both ends of their game offence and defense.
In the second half as they continued their domination on this day opening up a 100 plus point lead and never looking back against Public Frenemy out scoring them 119-69 to finish the game with a 235-106 victory to finish undefeated in 2014 taking top spot heading into the post season.
The same two teams will meet in the semi-finals on June 15th at the Royal City Curling Club to see who advances to the championship game on July 12th at Minoru Arena in Richmond.
In the second game Bad Reputations played the Faster Pussycats in a game that would decide second place in the standings this game was no contest as they destroyed the Pussycats on the scoreboard and on the track to finish at 2-1 in the standings and the Pussycats at 1-2 in third the standings.
Again it was no contest as they pounded their opponents at every jam starting with a 15-1 run and just kept coming scoring the points at will in fact at one point of the opening half led by a resounding score of 98-5 before going into the half with a 148-16 lead.
the second half they continued the momentum from the opening scoring at will against the Pussycats leading 212-22 early and just kept skating circles on the track on their opponents.
In the end the score wound up just short of reaching the 300 point plateau as Bad Reputations wound up winning the match by the high score of 296-25.
This saw them finish the season strong with and ready heading into the playoffs which start Sunday June 15 in New Westminster.
