Tennis BC Hosts Workshops

Workshops are additional professional development opportunities.  Anyone may take a workshop however, only certified Instructors and tennis professionals will get a credit. Workshops have no evaluations and many count for re-certification.

Cardio Tennis Workshop

When: Saturday, May 5 9:00am to 4:00pm

Learn to Play: Fundamentals Curriculum Workshop (recertification opportunity)

Date/Time: Monday May 21, 2:00pm to 8:00pm

Location: Grant Connell Tennis Centre Course Facilitator: Wayne Elderton

Learn the lesson plans, activities and achievement award evaluations for this Tennis Canada program designed for short-term starter tennis program (summer).
The plans include lessons for Red, Orange, and Green Progressive Tennis. Bring tennis gear, notepad and pen.

Wheelchair Instructor Course (recertification opportunity)

Date/Time: Saturday June 9, 2:00pm to 8:00pm

Location: Grant Connell Tennis Centre Course Facilitator: TBA

Helps coaches to learn the drills and progressions to instruct starter wheelchair players and also includes a manual.
Bring tennis gear (older shorts or pants as the wheelchair may dirty them), notepad and pen.

Fun Adult Starter Tennis (FAST) Program Workshop (recertification opportunity)

Date/Time: Sunday June 10, 2:00pm to 8:00pm

Location: Grant Connell Tennis Centre Course Facilitator: Wayne Elderton

Learn the structure, drills, and progressions of the Tennis BC EZ Play Adult starter program. All participants receive written curriculum.
