Not For Faint Of Heart!!

If you’re looking at attending a sporting event that is more fun than taking in events that seldom have any excitement other than getting excited when you pay at the door – check this out!

After a while of being away, it’s finally returning to Lynden, which is located just south of Aldergrove and depending on border traffic, maybe half hour away.

Yes – The Professional Bull Riders Touring Pro Division returns to Lynden Washington.

Professional Bull Riding organization is based in Pueblo Colorado and there are more than 1,200 cowboys from the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand that hold PBR memberships.

It’s a sport where the riders attempt to stay on a bucking bull for 8 seconds and the rides are all judger on both the rider’s and the bull’s performance with two judger scoring the rider and two scoring the bull.

Approximately 35 of the top bull riders in the world are expected to attend when the competition starts at the Laurel Farm & Western Supply Lynden PBR.

The riders hit the ring May 9th at 7:30pm inside the Washington Tractor Arena, which is located at the Northwest Washington Fair & Event Center.

Fair Manager Jim Baron mentioned “Bull riding is the most popular event of any rodeo and this features a whole night of it.”

He continued “The action is great as some of the most athletic and courageous competitors in the sport try to ride these huge and rank bulls for eight seconds.” pbr 1

Bull riders will compete for $10,000 in prize money, as well as points in the Touring Pro Division standings.

The TPD is the official PBR developmental tour in which established veterans and newcomers compete against some of the toughest and most famous bucking bulls.

The bulls will be provided by long-time rodeo stock contractor Mike Corey of Moses Lake.
