Earlier today the remainder of the Superweek kicked of at a media press conference in Vancouver following a successful weekend event’s of the Tour de Delta Sunday afternoon in South Delta.
That race featured the first ever UCI Women’s Road Race Sunday afternoon and finished in just over two hours.
On Wednesday the tour continues out at UBC with the Grand Prix event and several events planned for the day including a kids race and corporate event for teams made up of Vancouver taking part the event is capped off by the big race with the pro and amateur riders racing around the UBC campus.
Thursday night features the Gastown Grand Prix featuring the best riders in North America taking to the Cobblestone streets in what is an outstanding field and the second largest money event in North America.
The Giro di Burnaby Friday in the streets of East Hastings again a top class event for an outstanding field of racers and will see some record times from this class of outstanding riders with top prize money to be divided among the elite.
BC Superweek closes off with the Tour de White Rock that is a two stage race event that see’s a flat track event and a road course which features a hill climb on Sunday to round out the week.
This again features the best riders in North America as at the conclusion points will be tallied up and an overall champion will come away with some top money for the events combined.
