Watch 4 Ticket Scams

If you’re fresh off the Pacific Nations Cup of Rugby recently played in Burnaby at Swanguard Stadium, this next event goes beyond that.

Attendance will be a an all-time high and having mentioned that for those attending and have not yet purchased your tickets, please be aware of the ticket scams in the area or on-line.

The event is being hosted by England from September 18th and wraps up October 31st and the final will be hosted at Twickenham stadium in London in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

It is the largest stadium in the world devoted solely to the sport of rugby union, the 2nd largest stadium in the UK after Wembley Stadium and the 4th largest stadium in Europe.

It should be noted that the final nations to bid for the right to host the Championship  were Japan, South Africa, Italy and England, where the IRB voted 16-10 in favour of England hosting the 2015 World Cup and Japan hosting the 2019 event.

So as the event draws near, it should be mentioned that you should make your purchase very careful and that they released the following press release.

With less than a month to go until Rugby World Cup 2015 kicks-off in England and Cardiff, fans are being warned to only buy from official sources after the discovery of counterfeit Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets in circulation.

The City of London Police are working with Tournament Organisers, England Rugby 2015, and Tournament Owners, Rugby World Cup Limited, to carry out a full investigation to help ensure that fans are made aware. An image of one of the counterfeit tickets can be downloaded here.

With 17 days to go until the start of the Tournament, there is still high demand for tickets and fans are being warned only to buy from official sources to guarantee access to Rugby World Cup 2015 matches. Any tickets bought from unofficial sources can be cancelled without a refund under Rugby World Cup’s ticket terms and conditions.

Fans should utilise only official Rugby World Cup 2015 channels, which include:

  • The official Rugby World Cup 2015 hospitality provider, Rugby Travel & Hospitality Ltd (RTH) – rugbyworldcup.com/hospitality

April 7t the World Rugby named twelve (12) Referees, seven (7) Assistant Referees and four (4) television match officials to handle the group stage games.
