Month Long Training
Sportswave enjoys following our athletes and two that keep us “up to date” are Nikola Girke and Luke Ramsey who take us around the world with their travels.
This is the most recent one and it comes from all places Florida, where apparently it’s not all that hot right now.
Hi Everyone:
Arriving to Miami at the beginning of this month, we have had the time and opportunity to tick all the boxes, dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s and taper into our regatta.
A “Mid-Winters Regatta” last weekend has us compete in 6 races, placing 6th overall of 34, in a variety of conditions. A great warm up for our upcoming races.
We are ready to start this regatta on Monday. Fleet racing is from Monday through Friday, with the final top 10 medal races on Saturday.
This is our Continental Olympic Qualifier – this means that there is only one Olympic spot and it is between us and the Puerto Rican’s. We are ready and we’ll be fighting hard to get Canada that coveted Olympic spot.
