Kamloops Hosts 2015 Special Olympic’s

With over 1000 volunteer’ taking part in the 2015 Special Olympics’ in Kamloops it somehow doesn’t seem all that far off.

While it might be cool for some Athlete’s in the surrounding areas, the action supplied by these talented individuals is nothing short of professional.

Surrounding by a dazzling display of sheer dedication, skill, sportsmanship and the ability to compete the 2015 Special Olympics BC Winter Games  will be a sight for everyone to take in.

Special Olympics BC is excited to be returning to Kamloops following a 12 year exit and this return to the community shows the dedication for the sport from the Community and the Volunteers.

I am told that there will be approximately 600 Athletes plus 200 Volunteer Coaches and Mission Staff from the eight (8) Special Olympic regions in B.C. and the Yukon.

They will all decent on Kamloops in February 2015 and these games will feature athletes challenging for a Gold Medal in the seven (7) winter sports, which are as follows:

Alpine skiing

Cross-Country Skiing

Curling

Figure Skating

Floor Hockey Snowshoeing

Speed Skating

Mark the date down on your calendar as it’s a date you won’t want to miss!!!
