You can hit the ground running or walking this fall in style, performance and comfort in athleisure wear.
Athleisure wear is a trendy term to define sports casual wear that is not only comfortable and fashionable, you can wear the gear from the gym to the coffee bar while looking sharp and feeling great.
According to a February, 2018 Forbes online report, “The red-hot athleisure trend has led many retailers and brands to unveil their own collections in recent years, and the term has been added to the dictionary. Now there’s more evidence that it’s not losing steam.”
The key though is to choose the right gear for your sport that allows you to be at the top of your game while going in style to your casual activity afterwards.
Fall is a great time to get started on an exercise program, clean out your closet and refresh it with some athleisure wear.
Here are my top athleisure wear tips to get you started before working out:
Shoes – get fitted by a shoe specialist at a running store.
Read multiple shoe reviews on sites like ShoeHero and invest in a pair of shoes that goes with everything you wear. For example, Black shoes with running tights.
Clothing – tights/leggings or yoga pants that complement also with a jean jacket and boots to wear to lunch.
There are many styles and funky colors to choose from.
Tops – Tank tops are great for working out at the gym and also to wear underneath a sports or jean jacket with your tights.
Jacket – makes a great athletic layer and matches up well with jeans.
Sports bra – visit a specialty store.
Enhance your workout in style and comfort by wearing the right bra. Add some color to your bra.
Layer up – wear a base such as a tank top, long sleeved shirt and vest or jacket, shirt with tights.
Bag – invest in one that is perfect for the gym and going out for coffee afterwards.
