Chan, Osmond Head Skating Team

Patrick Chan the three-time Champion will lead the Canadian team of figure skaters into the 2014 Olympics in Sochi in hopes of grabbing a Gold Medal.

Chan was one of the 17 skaters that were selected for the Sochi Olympic Games and is one of the favourites in the men’s Olympic competition.

He placed fifth in his first ever Olympics Games a short four years ago in Vancouver and has since won the World title in each of the last three years.

Joining him will be Kevin Reynolds and Liam Firus on the men’s team and all are in solid competition to medal.

The Women’s competition will have Kaetlyn Osmond and Gabrielle Daleman while three pairs teams and a trio of dance squads will also take the Olympic ice in Russia.

Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir are trying for a second Olympic dance gold in Sochi, which would be the second consecutive one.

Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje will also make the trip, along with Alexandra Paul and Mitchell Islam.

Canadian pairs champions Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford will be joined by Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch, as well as Paige Lawrence and Rudi Swiegers.
