BC Athletes A “Tad Shy”

Published on

Playing any sport can be time consuming, but playing sport at any University can be draining. It takes hard work, dedication and a willingness to achieve success at a high level, while attending school.

BC has seen some exceptional athletes advance to higher levels of sport, regardless of what they focus on an for that we are proud of everyone.

A pair of BC athletes came just shy of winning awards at the annual BLG Awards, which are given in recognition of Canadian Interuniversity Sports Male and Female Athlete of the year.

TWU volleyball player Ben Ball (Abbotsford) and field hockey player Robyn Pendleton (Victoria) both lead their respective teams to National titles.

The awards were given out in Calgary and both winners were hockey players from McGill University. Ann-Sophie Bettez and Marc-Andre Dorion each received a $10,000 scholarship to attend a Canadian post graduate school.
Congrats to everyone.
