Whitecaps Sign Argentine Defender
The Vancouver Whitecaps signed yet another player and this one comes via Argentine.
The signing see’s centre back Martin Bonjour agree to terms with the Whitecaps. From what we are told this is the first of what might be many signings by the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
The 26-year-old joins the team after scoring five goals in 52 appearances in three years with Uruguay’s Rampla Junior FC squad.
Head Coach Martin Rennie stated “the six-foot-three, 190-pound defender will be a good addition to Vancouver’s back line. He continued “Martin is a powerful, aggressive central defender who is good in the air and comfortable on the ball”..
“He adds additional quality to our defensive side and brings plenty of South American top-flight experience and that alone will added the much needed “punch” the team needs.
