Parksville situated on Vancouver Island played host as teams from across Western Canada had high hopes of “spiking” a win taking home a gold medal at the 2014 Beach National Championships.
Friday and Saturday’s pool play offered teams a chance to play (multiple) matches and judge all competition taking part, it was Sunday where only the winning teams were able to progress into the next rounds.
By mid-day the final rounds had begun on feature court, and after three days of hard fought bouts the sandy beach was filled with celebration for medaling teams.
Medal ceremonies took place on the beach with Volleyball Canada officials presenting the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
Volleyball Canada and Volleyball BC take pleasure in thanking all of the youth athletes and Families who travelled from multiple locations around Western Canada to take part in this Championship event.
Exceptional event played in the scenic location of Parksville on beautiful location on Vancouver Island.
