Whoever said that BC can’t produce and develop talent, must be living in a bubble.

BC has seen several talented individuals achieve success in various sports and much credit for this clearly goes to the volunteer’s.

They are the one’s that never give up and are always there for you when you call on them.

Such is the case with the most recent player to be named to the Canadian Hall of Fame.

One of the greatest punters and placekickers who donned the black and orange for 25 years (1976-2000) came out of east

Vancouver. Not only did come to play each game he  recorded the most points (3,991) of any pro-football player in history.

Lui is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, the BC Hall of Fame and the club’s wall of Fame.

In 2003 he was named to the BC Lions all time dream-team as well in 2006 he was voted # 30 in the CFL’s top 50 players by TSN.

Lui will be inducted along side 10 time Paralympic medallist Lauren Woolstencroft, triathlon great Peter Reid, outstanding women’s soccer player Andrea Neil and IOC member Richard Pound.

The induction will take place November 8th in Calgary.
