KISU Pentathlon

The KISU Spring Triple Pentathlon was held in Penticton last weekend and it was a huge success to everyone competing including the community.

In total there were 22 Vernon Kokanee swimmers compete which included seven (7) teams from the Okanagan, Orca Swim Club (Summerland), the Kamloops Classics, Liquid Lightning Swim Club, Kelowna Aqua Jets, Shuswap Swim Club and the host KISU club.

Zac Benn started the day off and had a personal best in the 100-metre breaststroke with a time of 1:44.38, thereby making his BC “AA” time standard.

The following day he (Benn) swam a personal best in the 200-m backstroke making his second B.C. AA time.

Regan Peace also had a personal best in the 200-m backstroke making the provincial mark. Head Coach Renate Terpstra told members of the media.

“This means Zac and Regan can participate at the BC AA Championships this summer in Victoria – June 22-24
