Exciting Rugby Matches To Catch

We continue to hear about various sports and often enough we seldom hear about Rugby unless it surrounds the Rugby 7’s each spring.

We recently received the following regarding the BC Bears Senior Men’s XVs Blue  who will be taking the Gold Trial Match alongside the 2023 BC School Sports Rugby Provincial Championships June 2nd,
If you have time in your schedule make plans to attend and enjoy some exciting BC Rugby from some exceptional local rugby players.

The Blue vs. Gold match will be hosted on June 2 at the Rotary Stadium at Abbotsford Exhibition Park, with kick-off set for 6:30pm PT. 

The game will follow both the BCSS Boys’ Rugby 7s Provincial Championship Game and BCSS Girls’ Rugby 7s Provincial Championships Game and respective Championships Banner and Medal presentations.

Spectators are welcome and will need to purchase single day tickets to attend the Bears match, if they do not already have a ticket for the BC School Sports Rugby Provincial Championships.

Prices to attend the Bears match are as follows:A
DULTS – $8STUDENTS – $5CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER – FREE
The trial match will aid final selection for BC Bears Senior Men’s Coaches ahead of the 2023 Coast-to-Coast Cup competition in Halifax on June 17-20, with the final squad set to be announced on June 4.

Further training sessions will then take place on June 10/11, before the team travels to Halifax on June 14 (arriving June 15).

The Bears will face the Atlantic Selects and the Toronto Arrows, before returning to BC on June 22.

The BC Bears Senior Men’s XVs team proudly wears playing kit manufactured and supplied by X-Treme Sports Gear, the official kit supplier to BC Rugby, for the 2023 season.

The kit features the logo of primary program sponsor ONNI on the right chest.
