Camp For Kubic

The Vancouver Giants would like to congratulate goaltender Ryan Kubic on being selected to attend Hockey Canada’s 10th annual Program of Excellence Goaltending Camp for a second consecutive year.

The camp will be held from June 12-14 in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Kubic is one of seven Under-18 goaltenders who have been invited to the camp. He attended last year’s camp and went on to represent Canada at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

“It’s always impressive when our players are invited to participate in Hockey Canada events,” said Giants Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Bonner. “We are very proud that Ryan is on their radar.”

The Giants drafted the St. Andrews, Manitoba native in the second round of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft at 39th overall.

He spent the 2014/15 season with the Brookings Blizzard of the North American Hockey League where he posted a 10-15-2-3 record with a 2.74 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage.
