Adanac’s GM Steps Down

Published on

Each season leagues or teams have changes and this year we see a move with the Coquitlam Junior Adanac’s in the BC Junior Lacrosse League.

The Coquitlam Junior Adanacs made it official and announced that Tosh Nishimura will not be returning as General Manager for the 2015 season.

We are extremely grateful to Tosh for his years of service to the Club and for guiding the Junior “A” team to Minto Cup Championship appearances each year he was in place.

Tosh made the decision to not return in the capacity of General Manager but he will still assist with transitional duties to ensure a seamless hand off is completed.

The GM is a critical role to our entire Intermediate/Junior program and through Tosh’s drafting, trades, and player recruitment our Club is on stable ground for many years to come.

With the departure of Tosh, we are pleased to announce that Assistant General Manager Scott Wortley has been elevated to the position of General Manager.

We are extremely fortunate to have another Coquitlam Junior Adanac alumni, as well as a former Captain, as our new General Manager. Scott is very well respected within the Community and has a team-first attitude, very much aligned with our Club’s goals.

As the General Manager, Scott is ultimately responsible for all four of our Club teams. Scott will be naming Managers of each team as we get closer to the season and those Managers will report directly to Scott.

Scott will be a tremendous asset to all lacrosse in Coquitlam
