Whitecaps Roster Changes

One thing you can say about the Whitecaps is they are never content and are constantly looking at upgrading the roster or the team to one day bring home the MLS Championship trophy.

Everyone you spoke to at least those that know soccer knew that there was an outside chance that Nigel Reo-Coker could possibly be moved, but no one was sure what would be involved.

Nigel Reo-CokerThe Whitecaps FC officially announced the club acquired midfielder Mauro Rosales from Chivas USA in exchange for midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker.

Head Coach Carl Robinson told the media “We are excited to welcome Mauro to our club and Vancouver and if you look at Mauro’s history, he’s constantly creating goals. He’s experienced, bright, and has a super football brain.”
He continued “His delivery on crosses is fantastic, and I know he’s a good guy and that’s important in this locker room and we are pleased to add a player of Mauro’s calibre as we make our push for the playoffs.”

In that time, the 5-foot-8 playmaker recorded eight assists, tied for the third highest total in MLS this season.
