Just when you think it’ll never happen, the unexpected happens with the Vancouver Whitecaps announcing that they are planning on opening the Upper Bowl for four league matches as they celebrate their 50th season.
This season they have chosen the name which is not only fitting but unique as well and will be tagged as the Golden Era Pack.
This will include all four games which will begin with the Home opener plus 50th Anniversary Match, Inter Miami CF, as well as the match against LAFC.
We have heard that there is a strong demand from the public to be a part of the 50th Anniversary season from the public which shows the overall popularity and growth of the game.
There are also lower bowl season memberships which are in select sections only plus exclusive additional benefits which include a year-long subscription to MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
To the surprise of many this will be the first time in the club’s MLS play that the upper bowl will open for regular season games.
To no real surprise last season saw the club have two of their top 10 largest crowds at BC Place which included their record-breaking MLS Cup Playoffs match of 30,204 fans.

March 2 vs. Charlotte FC (home opener)
The first match of the Golden Era pack is the home opener March 2, which is the first visit to BC Place from Eastern Conference side
Charlotte FC. will provide solid and aggressive play under Dean Smith, their new Head Coach after making the MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time in 2023.
May 4 vs. Austin FC
The 50th Anniversary match marks a historic milestone in the illustrious history of Vancouver Whitecaps FC. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of our club’s journey from inception to iconic status and what lies ahead for the next 50 years!
May 25 vs. Inter Miami CF (inaugural matchup)
Whitecaps FC host Inter Miami CF for the first time and are looking to make a league-wide statement in front of the home supporters at BC Place as they challenge the MLS Cup favorites, led by a contingent of former FC Barcelona stars including Lionel Messi.
August 24 vs. LAFC (playoff rematch)
A controversial end to the 2023 Whitecaps FC season left a bitter taste in the mouths of supporters, players, and staff alike.
Now, the ‘Caps look to right a wrong against Western Conference rivals in the thick of the MLS season.
