Everyone watching at home or in person could cheer as Howell introduced the Colorado band 58 minutes into the show.

The Juno Awards of 2014 honoured the Canadian music industry achievements in the latter part of 2012 and in most of 2013.

The MC’s for the event were Johnny Reid and Serena Ryder, who performed along with Classified the opening number.

BTOIn addition, the event welcomed Astronaut Chris Hadfield who introduced Bachman Turner Overdrive  into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Winnipeg last hosted this event in 2005 and the other bid to host this year’s event was submitted by Victoria British Columbia.
