Two More Added

The world is coming to Canada. From a record-breaking field of 129 countries, the best 24 national teams from around the world will compete in next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™.

Already, 13 of 24 nations have confirmed their places, including host Canada.

That list will grow to 15 qualified teams with the completion of South America’s Copa America which concludes on Sunday 28 September.

The top-two nations from the final group of four – either Argentina, Brazil, Colombia or Ecuador – will book automatic berths for Canada 2015 while the third-place team will advance to a CONCACAF-CONMEBOL playoff in November.

Next up in October, the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ Qualifiers will conclude in Africa (via an eight-nation field in Namibia), CONCACAF (via a seven-nation field in USA), and Oceania (via a four-nation field in Papua New Guinea).

The European playoffs will also get underway, with Netherlands to face Scotland and Italy to face Ukraine (with only one of the four nations to qualify in November).

All 24 finalists will be known by late November.

Tickets to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ are now available via FIFA.com/Canada2015.

In this first phase of ticket sales, fans can purchase tickets Stadium Passports or (in select cities) Stadium Half Passes.

The first phase of ticket sales for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ runs 10 September through 5 December 2014, all in advance of the Official Draw.

A second phase also featuring Stadium Passports and Stadium Half Passes will commence on 6 December after the Official Draw when the schedule and venues become known for all 24 participating nations,

The third phase featuring individual tickets will launch in the first quarter of 2015 while the fourth phase featuring on-site ticketing box offices will launch in the month before the competition kicks off on 6 June 2015.
