Trinity Western Game Action

Trinity Western Athletics had a busy past weekend on the Langley campus with Basketball for the men’s and women’s teams as well as Rugby and ladies’ soccer and capping it off with volleyball games on the slate.

Women’s basketball “tipped off” Friday evening that saw them host Victoria in a match that saw them come from behind pulling out an impressive 73-66 O/T win defeating them for the fourth time in five matc improving to 4-1.

The men’s match saw the Trojans hand their Island rival University of Victoria a 104-66 loss  as they never were in contention that saw the Spartans drop their third straight game but managing to win the season opening game. 

Unfortunately they fell to 1-3 in league play but you can check out the game stats as well as check out upcoming games on their site.

Men’s rugby saw the Spartans drop their 5th consecutive game starting the season with a 46-17 loss to Pacific Pride, while the women dropped their match by a 38-5 decision in the Blue – White game that was played on the Northwest field at the Langley Campus.

Women’s soccer action saw them win their Canada West quarter final match at Langley’s Chase field by a narrow 1-0 win over the University of Victoria reaching the finals holding a  record of 14-3-4. 

Their next upcoming game has them play Saskatchewan at Chase Office Field in Langley November 5th at 4:30 pm.

Men’s volleyball action saw the Spartans men’s team knock off Alberta winning 3-1 in a night match-up Thursday, going on to defeat Mount Royal in straight running their record to 14-2. 

The ladies game saw them improve to 6-0 this season, knocking off the Calgary Dino’s 3-1 in a match played October 23rd that saw them defeat Mount Royal the following day  3-1.
