Sportswave is focused on promoting Amateur sports in various areas while also covering sports at the Pro level of the game due to various requests we continue to get on a daily basis.
We recently covered and also did a live webcast for the ND Fights Cancer night which took place at Delta’s Sungod Arena.
Admission were by donations at the door in addition to selling apparel and let’s not forget the various snacks at the concession.
The night was a huge success that saw North Delta MHA raise $9,882 noting that the event was held In honour and memory of both Robin Pugsley and Joe Madden.
The money has since been donated to the BC Cancer Foundation as a tribute to their legacies.
There is no question that Cancer has touched all of us in one way or another noting that this was the “first annual” event and it is the intention of Sportswave to continue to be a part of all upcoming fundraising events including the ND Fights Cancer in years to come.
The overall viewership was exceptional and we “thank” everyone for tuning in to watch this “live” event.
We wish to thank everyone that came out to support that night. We also want to thank all the volunteers and sponsors who worked so hard behind the scenes to help put this night together in a very short time frame.
