Taylor Heads To Team 1040

Being a fixture in the lower mainland is something that everyone no only liked but knew due to his connection to the area, not to mention the number of friends he met over the years.

Friday will be Don Taylors last day at Sportsnet so he can spend more time with his Family and spend his time working normal daytime hours at Team 1040.

Don has been with Sportsnet Pacific (since 2001) and was co-host of CKVU’s legendary Sports Page from 1985-2000.

He mentions he will now devote his professional self to Team 1040, where he is one half of the B-Mac & Taylor Show with Sports Page alum and friend Barry MacDonald.

With the TV gig out-of-the-way, Taylor will be able to work all four hours of the afternoon radio show he’s been part of since 2003.

It appears the Toronto-based Rogers Sportsnet decided its Vancouver operation needed to go in a different direction, so changes were needed.

Taylor was not available for comment.

Rogers Sportsnet fired Pacific Bureau chief Craig MacEwan last week, which shocked many.

So gone are the day’s of sports page and Dan Russell’s Sports Talk, so let’s hope this change brings positive changes for the sports fans?
