While the summer season for lacrosse has come to a close, it’s time to set your sights on the upcoming season for the Vancouver Stealth of the NLL.
The Vancouver Stealth have inked yet another signing for the club and made it official by announcing they have signed (forward) Tyler Digby to a one-year contract pending league approval.
Digby calls New Westminster home in the off-season and is entering his third season in the National Lacrosse League and has not missed a single game in his career.
This past season (2015) he put up 74 points (38 goals, 36 assists) in 18 games with the Stealth.
“I am really excited to be back with the Stealth and continue to have the opportunity to play in front of friends and family at home games. I believe our team has improved through free agency and the draft, and can’t wait to get to a competitive training camp and start the season,” said Digby.
Digby was selected in the third round (20th overall) by the Stealth in the 2013 NLL draft and in 36 career games, has racked up 132 points (60 goals, 72 assists) to go along with 102 loose balls.
Stealth President and General Manager Doug Locker has been extremely pleased with what Digby has accomplished the past two years with the Stealth, and is happy to get him under contract for another season.
“Tyler has quickly developed into one of the league’s top players and is a very important part of our offense.”
He continued “He has the ability to score goals inside as well as outside and has a strong work ethic. We love what Tyler brings and can’t wait to watch what he does in the coming season.”
The Stealth open their 2016 training camp at the Langley Events Centre Fieldhouse beginning on November 28. For the full schedule, please visit www.stealthlax.com.
