Season’s Greetings From Sportswave
As we spent time with our Families and Loved Ones this Christmas, take the time to think of those less fortunate.
We reflect on the year and think of the devastation and tragedies that have hit so many throughout the world.
Regardless of where your travels take you in the sporting world, it’s time to understand the true meaning of sport.
It’s about making friends for life and entering a world where there is more to sport than winning.
While this is the end result, it’s about helping others perfect or learn any sport, regardless of the age. Regardless if you play an individual sport or a team sport, life’s lessons can be very meaningful in numerous ways.
We learn daily from thousands of volunteers who make sport a success.
They give selfish and timeless hours when they could be spending time with Families just to help you perfect a skill or game you want to excel in.
Several of these individuals had help when they were young and it’s great to see them give back to a respective sport they love.
Far too often we lose young players due to individuals who put winning in front of being a team player.
This is simply wrong and no one has to name them, as they know who they are.
We saw a true indication this past summer in a youth hockey game – well the rest is history as the YouTube went viral. Let’s hope we don’t have any repeat of this!
Why do parents let these individuals Coach? I know he would not Coach my Son or Daughter – EVER!
To those who have the true meaning of sport in the best interest, Sportswave Congratulates you, for simply being there.
We could not have done it without YOU!!
On behalf of everyone with my Family and the Sportswave Family have a Happy and Safe Christmas and a prosperous New Year
