NHL Central Scouting released the 2014 Preliminary players to watch and the CJHL had nine players on the preliminary list.
Players are identified with an A, B, C or LV rating and are as follows:
A indicates a 1st round candidate, while B indicates a 2nd/3rd round candidate and C indicates a 4th/5th/6th round candidate.
All CJHL players identified on the list were ranked with a C rating meaning they are 4th/5th/6th round candidates.
They will have all year to impress the scouts with the goal of moving up the rankings while other players will have the opportunity to work their way on to the list in time for the first NHL Central Scout Rankings which will be release later in the season.
