Long Track National Training Teams
Speed Skating Canada is pleased to introduce the athletes who have been named to the Canadian long track national, development and training teams for 2014-2015.
The Canadian team will be led by four-time Olympic medalist Denny Morrison, who won two medals in February at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia; double Olympic medalist Christine Nesbitt; and Jamie Gregg and Gilmore Junio, World Cup medalists last season.
All athletes will have the opportunity to qualify for international competitions held in the first half of the season at the Fall World Cup Trials, to be held Oct. 23-26 in Calgary.
The Canadian Single Distance Championships, Jan. 2-5 also in Calgary, will serve as the qualifier for international competitions held in the second half of the season, including the World Sprint and Allround Championships.

Speed Skating Canada (SSC) is the governing body for competitive long track and short track speed skating in Canada.
Founded in 1887, the association is comprised of 13 provincial and territorial branches representing more than 13,000 individual members, and counting.
