When any organization creates a new position it is hoped that first they have the best interest of the Athlete in mind and second, that the idea or concept has been fully thought out.
In hopes of making a better or stronger connection Athletics Canada created such a position and is setting it’s sight’s on a better connection with the running community of Canada.
John Lofranco get’s the call and has the distinctive role of Road Running Coordinator which “in a nut shell” is to strengthen the relationship between Athletics Canada and the road running community.
This position is a key focus of the Athletics in Canada strategic plan and CEO Rob Guy stated “The new role is an important step in Athletics Canada being more involved with the road running community.”
John will support Athletics Canada in all efforts to connect with the road running community and will lead the first annual National Race Directors Summit in October 2014.
He will also provide support to hosts of Athletics Canada road race Championships and will work with member branches, stakeholders, road race partners and race directors to develop programs and services that contribute a positive experience for everyone.
With running season set to kick-off, given the weather conditions in various regions, starting off on the right foot, is a good start for this organization.
Most want to be in fashion, while others just want to run and regardless of what you plan on get the right gear and apparel that fits your style.
I am told by some of the best that you should look at making a purchase of compression socks as these flush out your muscles for a quicker recovery, for either training and/or events. If you’re wanting to further look into the uses of compression socks as well as some other information regarding their myths and advantages, perhaps have a look over this useful content regarding compression socks or conduct some of your own research.
