Happy Independence Day To Our US Friends

As Canadians we not only celebrate Canada Day that is followed by some of our American followers while the opposite is the same when the USA celebrates their Independence Day on July 4th.
For those who are unfamiliar with the holiday and if you are I’m shocked as the holiday which is respected as a Federal holiday dates back to 1941.
But fully knowing that the tradition of Independence Day celebrations date back to the 18th century and the USA American Revolution.
It should be noted that July 2nd, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and interesting enough a short two days later delegates from the 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence which was drafted by Thomas Jefferson.
From 1776 to the current day, July 4th continues to be celebrated as the beginning of American independence.
