Their last game before the holidays was a win, securing a 3-1 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds.
They’ve had a decent stretch lately, winning four of their last seven games, however, the Royals have been hot of late,winning six out of their last seven matches.
For tonight’s game, the Giants will proudly sport their red jerseys, which will be their main home jersey for the 2nd half of the WHL Season.
In the standings, the Giants currently sit in the eighth spot, while the Royals hold the fifth position. The Giants are aiming to keep their winning momentum against the Royals.
They claimed convincing victories with scores of 4-1 and 3-2 in earlier clashes, but Victoria turned the tables with a 3-2 win in their last showdown.
A notable shift in Victoria’s strategy comes with the introduction of their new coach, James Patrick.
Since stepping into this role, he’s made an immediate impact. Before joining Victoria, Patrick led the Winnipeg Ice, boasting a remarkable record of 166-49-8.
His tenure included earning the esteemed title of WHL Coach of the Year in the 2021-22 season, achieved alongside two consecutive 50-win campaigns for the team.
