Vancouver added a run in the bottom of the 5th with Carlos Ramirez hitting a triple’ then eventually scoring on a single as Daniel Arcila sent him home extending the lead to 3-0.

After 26 innings of holding the opposition off the scoreboard, the streak eventually came to an end in the top of the 9th when Canadians Arik Sikula gave up a two-run home run to Mergenthaler which saw the lead cut to 3-2.
