Call For Candidates
The CPC is currently seeking applications for IPC Standing Committees for the term of office (2014 – 2017).
We hereby invite you to recommend candidates to the CPC for membership to the following IPC Standing Committees by Monday, 10 February 2014
- Anti-Doping Committee
- Audit and Finance Committee
- Classification Committee
- Legal and Ethics Committee
- Medical Committee
- Sport Science Committee
After the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games, the IPC Governing Board will appoint the Chairperson of each IPC Standing Committee mentioned above, and will then consider the recommendations from each Chairperson for membership in his/her IPC Standing committee.
We expect that at their meeting in June 2014, the IPC Governing Board will approve the full membership for these IPC Standing Committees.
The IPC Standing Committees provide expert advice to the IPC Governing Board and to the Management Team. A brief summary of their functions can be found below:

Applications will be reviewed by the External Representation Committee Chaired. The committee will than make final recommendations on candidates to be submitted to the IPC.
Candidates should include in their letter of interest information detailing their experience including but not limited to the following:
- Experience and exposure to working at the international level
- Connection to, and familiarity with related networks which would assist in this role
- Clear understanding and competence in this functional area as it relates to athletes with a disability
- Experience in fields related to their committee work (ex. Medical, financial, legal-ethical, research, etc.)
