Brain Injury Prevention

Published on

ThinkFirst Canada is pleased to announce their collaboration with The Canadian Centre for Ethics and Sport, Coaching Association of Canada, Hockey Canada on a national project aimed at reducing brain injuries in team sports in Canada as part of the federal government’s Active and Safe Initiative.

Despite their ability to positively influence the health and well-being of Canadians, sports activities contribute to a significant number of injuries among children and youth, yet many of those injuries are predictable and preventable. The cause of injuries that occur may sometimes lie at the feet of a negligent party and, in such instances, legal action is often sought, with help from the likes of Diamond and Diamond Lawyers and others, to get the victims the justice they deserve.

With the support of the Public Health Agency of Canada, the project partners will work together to reduce injuries, particularly as it relates to brain injuries and concussions, while creating the conditions for active and safer play throughout the Canadian sport system. For anyone suffering with a brain injury, it can be a lot to deal with, as the brain literally controls everything in your body. From speaking to brain injury lawyers who making it their priority of helping brain injury victims, maybe this part of your life may not be as difficult as it initially has been by having someone on your side who can give you advice and put you on the right track can make such a difference. The project will produce an increased national awareness of head injury and concussion know-how, targeting coaches, trainers, educators, health professionals, community leaders, parents and athletes.

If you at the point where you were unable to stop a brain injury from occurring then why not check out a site like https://www.nehoralaw.com/traumatic-brain-injuries/ to give you some more information on the matter. There are so many things that you need to consider if you do suffer from a brain injury. If the brain injury wasn’t your fault then this can cause a huge conflict. This is why it’s really important to use a lawyer like the ones found at 866AttyLaw.com to help you get the compensation that you deserve.

Each project partner brings a unique network, reach, expertise, and set experiences to the initiative that will combine to effectively reach Canadians across a broad geographic scope.

This will help provide opportunities to engage a host of individuals through active engagement opportunities and to train those who directly administer the sport experience to millions of children and youth across Canada.

Overall, the project partners’ combined efforts will contribute to creating awareness, building capacity, engaging communities and their citizens as well as educating and training those who deliver sports.

This is being done through activities that focus on brain injury and concussion prevention and treatment using a common, united, consistent and reliable message.
