Moving from one sport on the pitch to another one in the sand, still involving Women that play for the love of the game, we hear that Volleyball Canada has partnered with Lululemon Athletica for the next two years.
One of the problems we have in Canada is giving strong support for our National Teams and I don’t just mean from a financial point of view.
We want our athletes to not only represent Canada, but also look the part, and this is where companies have to buy-in on this mindset and team up with a sport of their choice.
Such is the case with Lululemon who is not only designing, but outfitting Canada’s Men’s and Women’s Beach National Volleyball teams and is a major partner of Canada’s National Beach Volleyball Championships.
As part of the partnership, lululemon is also designing and providing the beach volleyball competition uniforms to be worn by Canadian teams at the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games and the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Mark Eckert, Volleyball Canada’s Executive Director stated “Our Beach National teams started 2015 with several podium finishes, so this is an excellent time to partner with a well-recognized Canadian brand and having lululemon’s support as our athletes strive for success on the road to the 2016 Olympics in Rio will be invaluable.”
Lululemon will become the official apparel provider of Team Canada Beach Volleyball and has the rights through to the end of 2016.

More than 60 of Canada’s top beach volleyball players will be wearing lululemon as they compete for the country at events all over the world, including Taylor Pischke, who will represent Canada at the upcoming Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games. “lululemon is the perfect fit for beach volleyball athletes.
