BC Snowboard Association
BC Snowboard Association announces that due to a restructuring of its operations, the position of Team Director will no longer exist. As a result, Andrew George will not be continuing his position with BC Snowboard.
In the 8 years Andrew has been with BC Snowboard, he has trained and motivated many athletes and coaches, as well as developed various team programs. Although Andrew’s departure will provide a void for BC Snowboard, it will provide him with the opportunity to explore new endeavours.
“I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to develop the BC Snowboard Provincial Program from inception to where it is today.” Andrew George comments, “During this process I have truly enjoyed the time I have spent working with all of the riders and coaches. I wish the teams nothing but the best as they continue to grow.”
“Andrew George dedicated his time and effort towards the development of snowboarding in British Columbia and has been a mentor to many coaches and athletes. Andrew’s passion for the sport has shown in his determination and commitment to BC Snowboard and its members.” says Flynn Seddon, President of BC Snowboard.
We wish Andrew the best in his new direction and know he will be successful and a positive addition to any organization he works with in the future.
BC Snowboard Association remains committed and responsible to our mission to foster and facilitate ongoing development of snowboard athletes, coaches and officials on participation and performance levels; and to provide and promote opportunity and enjoyment in the competitive snowboarding community.
BC Snowboard gratefully acknowledges the Financial Support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development.
The BC Snowboard Association (BCSA) is a non-profit sport organization, which is the governing body of snowboarding within the Province.
The BCSA is an organization that brings youth into a fun and supported environment while competing in a sport they love.
Up and coming National Team riders and future pro athletes are bred through the BCSA and its programs.
