Additional Funds For Athlete’s

Anytime you can enhance your sport with a new partner, it can only help grow the sport for everyone playing now and in the future.

As the 2014 Paralympic Games are set to kick-off the Canadian Paralympic Committee are pleased that long-time premier partner Pfizer Canada Inc. have made an additional financial contribution to the Canadian Paralympic Team.

Pfizer Canada is the CPC’s longest standing corporate partner and this dates back to 1996, when they first became involved with the Canadian Paralympic Committee.

Rhonda O’Gallagher the Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, Pfizer Canada Inc. stated “Canada’s Paralympic Athletes are such amazing role models to Canadians of all ages and we’re extremely proud of our association with the Canadian Paralympic Team and through our long-standing partnership we aim to inspire Canadians to live healthy and balanced lives.”

The enhanced Pfizer activation for Sochi includes the #Pfizer Inspire campaign, which gives fans a behind the scenes view of the Paralympic journeys of sledge hockey goalie Benoit St-Amand and para-Nordic skier and biathlete Mark Arendz.

The Paralympic Games run March 7 to 16. Canada has sent a world-class contingent of 54 athletes and has medal chances in all sports: para-alpine skiing, para-Nordic skiing, biathlon, sledge hockey, wheelchair curling and para-snowboard.
