A Day To Remember
The world is ever so changing and throughout my life as well as those connected with Sportswave we have seen changes to the world that are unimaginable.
Personally, I remember the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy when I was still in school, the Black Day in July that Gordon Lightfoot both wrote and sung about the riots that took place in Detroit July 23rd, 1967.
A scene that lasted five days and saw 43 people die in an incident that was sparked by a police raid of an unlicensed after-hours bar in town.
Fast forward to September,11th, 2001 as the World watched the Twin Towers in New York City get hit by an act by terrorists that were a combined series of four (4) coordinated by the Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda that killed 2,977 injuring over 6,000 and causing Billions of dollars in damage.
Sportswave remembers and our thoughts are to everyone that were affected by this act of terror, thereby changing the world forever.
This unscrupulous act of terror will never be forgotten and while it has changed the way we do things in our daily lives, it does not and will not change the act of kindness that we all share for each other.
On this day of remembrance we remember those who lost loved ones, the first responders who selfishly gave of themselves to help others knowing they were putting themselves in danger to make the world a better place.
Remember September 11th and NEVER FORGET!!!!
