The Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager announced they have recalled centre Jordan Schroeder from the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. Schroeder (22) has split this season between the Canucks and the Chicago Wolves.
Schroeder collected five points (2-3-5) in 22 games with Vancouver.
During his tenure with the Canucks the 5’8”, 175 pound centre appeared in his first NHL game (Jan. 23/13 vs CGY), recorded his first NHL point (Jan. 25/13 at ANA) and notched his first NHL goal (Feb. 9/13 at CGY). Schroeder has also collected 23 points (10-13-23) in 33 games with the Wolves.
He calls Burnsville Minnesota home and was (originally) drafted in the first round, 22nd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

In addition the Canucks have signed forward Ludwig Blomstrand to an entry-level contract. If size means anything he is 6’1”, 198-pound (forward) and has played 44 games in the Allsevenkan league in Sweden this season.
He collected eight (8) penalty minutes in 14 games with Djurgardens and 19 points (13-6-19) in 30 games with Almtuna and ranked third (3rd) in goals (13).
The Uppsala, Sweden, native spent the 2011.12 season with Djurgardens JR. of the SuperElit J20 league, collecting 31 points (16-15-31) in 41 games, and Djurgarden of the Swedish Elite League, collecting one assist in 18 games.
Blomstrand was originally selected by Vancouver in the fourth round, 120th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
