Hit The Links With Discount Golf Card

With winter turning to spring many are putting their hockey sticks away and replacing them with golf clubs hitting the links for a summer of fun.

In British Columbia we are fortunate to be able to hit the links year round and if you ask any of the avid golfers about playing from November to March they’ll tell you a little rain never hurt anyone.

One such golfer that I have had the luxury of calling a good friend of the past number of years is Bill Wilms who works with the Vancouver Giants in the winter months as their color person working alongside Dan O’Connor.

Considering that golf is Bill’s passion aside from hockey he has extended his golf enthusiasm for promoting golf by offering a Discount Golf Card which is exceptional for anyone wanting to play golf in BC or Washington State.

No different from hockey if you purchase the golf card you are obliged to play by the rules and regulations of the club you are playing at or risk the chance of having your privileges revoked by the club.

Bill hails from Winnipeg and was a teacher in Delta for a number of years and has a passion for teaching today’s youth and offering advice to those who are on the  receiving end of his talent.

In BC you aren’t far away from a course to test your skill and ability which is more that what some other courses have a tendency to offer up.

Aside from purchasing the golf card we have the luxury of playing ball, tennis, pickleball and also utilizing the newly renovated track at North Delta Secondary School.

Aside from competitive sports in the lower mainland we have various trails for hiking you can venture on in addition to other areas of BC that allows you to enjoy the vast outside that BC has to offer.

Well I am on the topic of golf; let’s not forget that the 19th Annual General Meeting of the British Columbia Golf Association will be held at 7:00pm March 30, 2022.

As expected the meeting will be virtual using Zoom and those wishing to attend info will be circulated to voting members prior to the meeting.

One event I am focusing on is the one on Vancouver Island in Comox at Crown Isle running from April 25th to 29th is the PGA TOUR Canada Q-School showcasing up and coming future stars of tomorrow.

If you live in the Delta area there are several exceptional courses for you to “T” off on and all offer unique holes that will test your ability from the first hole to the nineteenth watering hole.

If you want to venture out of the lower mainland you can travel to the Interior and play at Predator Ridge in Vernon or hit the greens at Nicklaus North in Whistler.

If you’re looking for a holiday after a relaxing couple of days on the links, plan on checking out the beauty and scenery while spending time on one of the many Sicamous Houseboats.

Plan your summer golfing event first by purchasing the Discount Golf Card then be prepared to be “teed off.”
