The Stadium Series officially wraps up on Saturday, er Sunday which will feature the host team the Vancouver Canucks play host to the Ottawa Senators.
This annual game see’s two Canadian teams play in our National Winter Sport, but this one takes place at BC Place and it is hoped that they attract at least 50.000 hockey fans from across Canada. which holds an astounding 59,841 fans.
This is the first of what some hope are many games at BC Place, hopefully with the roof open and from the discussion around the City, the fans that can’t wait to see this game and regardless of rain or sun it’s always great to play in.
Let’s not forget that the Canucks have both Daniel and Henrik Sedin who are listed as playing in this classic and it was only due to a rib injury – er cross check to the lower back that Henrik was unable to play in the last eight of 10 games, prior to the break.
This game should be fun to watch and with bragging rights on the line, the Canucks have pulled out all stops.
They have managed to get Eight-time Juno Award and three-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan and 2014 Juno Award nominees Tegan and Sara who will headline the musical performances at the Classic.
It is expected that Roberto Luongo will get the start in net, with a healthy Ryan Kesler also taking to the ice.
