The 2018 MacKenzie Golf Tour season opens with the first event held at the Vancouver Point Grey Golf and Country Club.
The MacKenzie tour kicks the weekend of June 1st – 3rd with this being the first event as the tour makes it’s way across Canada, with Vancouver being the starting point.
Some of the best golfers on the McKenzie tour will take to the links on Thursday that has a field of 156 golfers kick off the tournament with the morning group hitting the course at 7:15 AM.
The second group is slated to “tee-off” at 12:15 and if previous events are any indication this year should prove to be another great event that has several players returning.
The Mackenzie Golf Tour is an event that has golfers compete for prize money and opportunities to advance to greater heights in furthering their careers.
Vancouver’s Point Grey course has become a fixture on the Canadian circuit that see’s many players participating as well as the opportunity for a family to host and billet a player, which is unique unto itself.
The tournament also features a online auction where you can bid on several items as well as feature a charitable Canucks for Kids Ball hockey classic game that raises money for the Vancouver Canucks charity.
Monday saw the Freedom 55 qualifying saw players to take last minute spots for the tournament which begins Thursday, with the final “put”set for June 3rd.

This is one of the premier events on the Canadian PGA as many of the players that has played in Vancouver in the past and has graduated to the PGA tour status by playing in both the Freedom 55 tournament and the MacKenzie Golf Tour advancing their careers.
