Anyone you ask will tell you that this match-up was nothing less than a pressure cbut he wasn’t done yet knowing what was at stake getting another chance in the 30th minute sending one over the top corner.
He managed one in the 38th minute that was disallowed due to an offside but had another at the end of the half with both White and Gauld working their magic.
The early start would have Brian White would getting close to opening the scoring in the eighth minute that saw a blocked Ryan Gauld pass that saw them send one past the post.
As you would expect from a squad filled with talent St. Louis pressed in the second half, that saw a volley from substitute Aziel Jackson while inside the box that Yohei Takaoka turned aside.
If nothing else this seemed to be the turning point in the match that saw them get their go-ahead goal in the 59th minute that would see White show his speed running the length of the field grabbing his 15th goal of the MLS season only two behind the golden boot lead.
Tristan Blackmon came close in the 70th minute to doubling the ‘Caps’ lead with Ryan Gauld’s header saved by Lundt, who cleared it off the line.
Cap’s sub Sam Adekugbe sent a cross to Brian White in the 78th minute that saw White knock down off his chest forcing Lundt to pull off another impressive save..
Richie Laryea put the match to bed, scoring in the sixth minute of added time putting the Caps up 3-0.
Adekugbe sent one to Laryea in the box that saw the Canadian international sent it in the back of the net for his first goal for the ‘Caps giving Vancouver the needed points.
