We’ll See Them Coming

Canada will be dressed to the “nine’s” while other Countries will all have a special unique look to the outfit they will be wearing for the opening ceremony, plus the entire event.

The closing ceremony uniform should be the same and everyone will represent Canada in a professional manner.

Meanwhile the USA Team will be featured front and center during the 2014 Olympic Games opening ceremony in Sochi and if for nothing else it will be looking good up-close or from a distance and no one can’t say they never saw them from a distance.

The uniforms were designed by fashion icon Ralph Lauren and manufactured in the USA, a source of criticism of past uniforms.

The sweater features bold stars and stripes, along with a couple of American flags and the famous Olympic rings.

The pants are simple, with a small “2014” and “RL” logo on the lower leg. But be prepared to spend a pretty penny on the threads, as the total outfit will cost $2,218. Women’s outfits are identical to the men’s.

olympic uniformsThe apparel has a winter-lodge-type feel to it—something one would see at a posh ski resort. But when a fashion-industry legend is the brains behind these duds, what else should we expect?

What do you think of the new threads?

Thanks to Ralph Lauren for the photos
