On a night when the Warriors were looking to keep their winning streak alive in hopes of pulling off nine straight wins it wasn’t to be.

Try as they might in the end they dropped the match by a 15-12 score and despite the loss they continue to entertain their solid fan base.

This game saw the home squad turn on the red light first that saw them run down the wall driving right taking an early 1-0 adding to their lead by their second goal of the contest that saw Cam MacLeod put them up by two.

Calgary’s Tyler Pace got their first of the game driving to the net getting a bounce shot to make it 2-1 followed by Dane Dobby’s marker pulling Calgary even at two with a bounce shot off a feed set up by Curtis Dickson with only five-minutes played in the first.

Calgary hit early while on their first PP of the contest that saw Dobbie hammer his second to make it 3-2 that would see them keep the pressure on the Warriors.

It was Haiden Dickson’s shot that allowed the visitors to keep the  run going followed by one from Ethan Ticehurst off the faceoff making it 5-2 Roughnecks.

Vancouver put an end to Calgary’s five-goal run with a late first-quarter sending the game into the second 5-3.

Dickson managed to bulge the twine early in the second-quarter giving the visitors a three-goal lead making it 6-3.

A solo effort by Calgary’s Tanner Cook hit the back of the net making it 7-3 only to have Bennett Smith grab his fourth of the season while the Warriors were trying to change “tenders” on the fly only to have Smith hit the open net making it 8-3.

Curtis Dickson got his second of the contest and his 552nd goal in league play putting him ahead of Dan Dawson for sixth all-time making it  9-3 for the visitors.

It took a while but the home squad eventually found the back of the net making it 9-4 and managed to get another making it 9-5.

To the delight of their supporters they managed to got their third on a dunk making ut 9-6 with six-minutes until the first half.

To no surprise it was Dickson who put a stop the Warriors making it 10-6 for the visitors east of the Rockies.

Never say never and to the delight of their fans they answered with three of their own making it 10-9 heading into the break that would see them tie the game 10-10 early in the third.

Curtis Dickson (again) found the back of the net for his third of the contest giving the visitors a narrow 11-10 lead only to have the Warriors get one on their first PP tying the contest at 11-11.

Again – short lived as Calgary’s Mathieu Gautier got one from in tight again putting the visitor’s up 12-11 only to have the Warriors “answer the bell” making it 12-12 and for the Warriors that’s all they could manage.

It was Calgary’s Jesse King who would manage to score his first of the night through the five-hole making it 13-12. ‘

They managed to score off the draw that saw Cook drive to the net sending a low shot to take a 14-12 lead heading into the final frame.

As if we have to say “here we go again” it was Dickson who would manage a hat-trick for Calgary giving the visitors a 15-12 lead with just under five-minutes played in the fourth-quarter.

Cam MacLeod stood on his head in the second-half, allowing just three goals after halftime including zero in the fourth and the Riggers came away with the 15-12 win.
