The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club in partnership with Safeway Canada, Avis Rent-A-Car and The Salvation Army delivered 100 family-sized turkeys to local families in need on Friday to help spread Thanksgiving cheer in advance of the upcoming long weekend.

This marks the 6th year that the Canadians have partnered with Safeway Canada to help families enjoy this October holiday with a family-sized turkey, cooking pan as well as instructions on how to prepare their meal among friends and family.

“Thanksgiving is a time for us all to reflect on the good things we have in our life and to be thankful for them,” said Canadians owner Jeff Mooney who along with team President Andy Dunn and a handful of C’s staffers joined Safeway and Salvation Army staff to hand out the 100 family-sized turkeys.

The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club wishes to thank Safeway Canada, The Salvation Army and Avis Rent-a-Car for supporting the 6th Annual ‘Canadians Thanksgiving’.
