UFC131 In Vancouver

Fighting, but controlled. The UFC is returning to Vancouver on June 11th and plans on becoming one of the main stops in the Country for this sport.

Big names will be on the evening’s card and more are expected to be named at a later date.

While this comes to Vancouver the BC MMA Fan site is shutting down. Why – have a read off the site?

As editor-in-chief of BCMMAFan.com, I worked diligently to create and maintain the best provincially-focused MMA site in Canada.

A brief glance at our B.C. Event Archives, Interviews section, meticulously-updated Rankings, and innumerable feature stories should confirm that this objective was, for a time, easily achieved.

The problem is that the demands of personally executing our comprehensive coverage strategy ultimately proved incommensurate with earnings.

As a result, I have recently had fewer resources than ever before to dedicate to running the site.

The fact is, the time I can now to spend on it is much less than is necessary to do a proper job and I firmly believe that nothing is worth doing unless you can afford do it right.

I will remain active in my less-demanding role as a Contributing-Editor at MMACanada.net.
