Tossing The Ball – Seahawks Style
While everyone is set to answer the question of a new years resolution, the Seattle Seahawks have other pointed questions that need to be answered.
One that Pete Carroll might want to find an answer to is who is going to be punt returns now that Tyler Lockett is out
It should be noted that Richardson finished the 2014 season as the team’s primary kick-off returner following the trade of Percy Harvin.
He has four returns this season for an average of 23.8 yds. per attempt as well as the fact he has handled (almost) every other kick-off returns for the past two seasons.
Sherman has been the official “back-up” all season and currently listed as the starter on the clubs depth chart.
Overall Sherman has little experience managing only three official returns in his career, but one was for 64 yards against the Bears in 2015.
Other candidates for this include former Skyline and UW star Kasen Williams and recently-acquired J.D. McKissic, who was recently claimed off waivers from Atlanta prior to the Arizona game.
Other possibilities are that Williams was a regular punt returner at Washington as a Freshman and Junior managing 20 returns for 153 yards.
