It’s all about getting the information out to those who love the sport and play regardless of the weather – now it’s time to take the game to the next level.
British Columbia Golf is calling all junior golfers in the competitive stream to register for the upcoming 2014 Titliest BC High-Performance Training Camp.
This premier training and evaluation program will be held at Northview Golf & Country Club in Surrey on Saturday October 18th and Sunday October 19th.
The program will provide high-level golf training aid opportunities to juniors, with an aim to support player growth and encourage the development of an annual training plan for the upcoming 2015 competitive season.
Class A Golf Professionals/Coaches will be on staff in addition to industry leading technology and tools inclusive of Trackman, V-1 Golf Analysis, Shot-by-Shot, K-Vest, Vision54, SEI-YV (Mental/Emotional Assessment & Reporting) and TPI (Strength & Conditioning for Golf).
Each player will receive a USB drive uploaded with their individualized assessment data upon completion of the camp and are expected to share this with their personal coaches.
Players will also be given the opportunity to learn about the best golfing equipment for their needs such as these golf balls for high handicappers for instance.
Regional, Provincial and High Performance Training Camps are included in the selection criteria for all British Columbia Golf teams competing nationally and internationally.
The 2014 HP Camp will be the first evaluation program for the 2015 Western Canada Games, hosted in Wood Buffalo, Alberta.
The Western Canada Games is a building block for BC Golf players who are 16 and under on the pathway to the Canada Summer Games in 2017.
The pool of selected players includes eligible athletes from the “Train to Play” and “Learn to Compete”Stages under the Long Term Player Development Guide for Golf.
All players, boys and girls, wishing to be considered for entry to this camp will be considered as”pending approval” until the selection committee completes the final roster on Wednesday, October 8th. The selection criteria requires all entrants:
1. Be a member of BCGA/RCGA in good standing
2. A Handicap Factor of 5.0 or better
3. Commitment to train for Zone, Provincial, National and International competitions
4. Commitment to enter into the 2015 BC Bantam, Juvenile and/or Junior Championships
Note: A maximum of 24 players will be selected.
